THE PEAVINE RAILROAD

Elizabeth Painter was the housekeeper. Her responsibilites would have been washing the sheets, dusting and sweeping around and under the bunks. The sheets and linens would have been scrubed on a wash board and hung to dry on a clothes line. She may have washed the kitchen linens and likely also cleaned the camp office.
